"I'm sorry Clive can you please cover up, I don't know what I was thinking Joe could come barging in at any minute he's not one for knocking."

"About another hour and half." You say picking up his dirty clothes. "I'll just put theses in the laundry and they'll be ready for you tomorrow."
"You don't mind if I pop out Emma I want to pick up a few things before dinner."
"Not at all." You tell him as you slip out of the room. You hurry downstairs to the laundry room and start the wash cycle before going into the kitchen to check on dinner, a few minutes later Clive walks in the kitchen.
"Okay Emma I won't be gone long, it shouldn't take me more than an hour." He says before leaving, you wait a few minutes before checking on Joe who seems oblivious to your presence as he watches cartoons.
"I'm just going to take a shower Sweetie, if you need a drink be careful around the stove and no snacks."
