"I'll help you," you say, "and why don't we ask the guy behind the counter to help us too?"
She turns her head and looks at you as though you've just said something utterly stupid: "Because he might be with them! That's why I haven't tried it yet. What if he tells them I'm going out the back? They'll be waiting for me!"
"Don't you think if he was with them he would have just let them in and all of them would have jumped you in here?" you respond. She stares at you, trying to formulate a reply but seemingly unable to think of one. After a minute or two, she hangs her head in defeat.
"Alright. Don't tell him we're going out the back, though. I'll wait for you by the back door," she says while putting the two movies back, and slinking along the wall toward the back of the building while making it look like she is just browsing.
"Oh," she says after a handful of steps, pausing to look back at you, "My name is Karen. You are... ?"
You give her your name and she nods, continuing on toward the back door.
You walk up to the counter and the man there looks up from the TV set: "Ya find something ya want?"
Do you:
- Decide not to ask for his help and just go meet up with the girl?
- Explain the situation and ask if there is any way he can help?
- Betray the woman by going outside and warning the group first?
