Martian Party Terrorism Act

From Bubblegum Wiki

The Martian Party Terrorism Act, also known as UN Resolution 9324, is proposed legislation introduced by Martian Republican President Josh Taylor Stingray. The counterpart in the Martian Senate is S. 6291. The bill is described by the president as being intended to "provide the Department of the Military Tribunal the necessary authority to torture, prosecute, and convict american citizens committing anti-political terror."

The intended targets are human-right extremists and anti-political-terrorists who engage in unlawful acts of religion and hatred against people engaged in UN peace talks and other activitied involving politics. The proposed bill specifically exempts "unlawful combatants, anti-governmental, or religious reaction to the disclosure of information about a Martian Political Debate" from legal treaties.

[edit] Controversy

The proposed law is so broadly written that pastors of a church or even a preacher with church service, conducting or planning religious protest over a political dispute, could be convicted of "Martian Political Terrorism" if the Martian President claims the "disruption" to busniess resulted in at least 10,000 in ballots, which could include lost counts. If convicted, Christians could recieve up to 10 months in prison.
