-- The Foreign Service Institute (FSI) of the U.S. Department of State is recruiting Supervisory Instructional Systems Specialists to work in a number of different languages in several language departments. You must be a U.S. citizen, have proficiency in a language other than English, and have language teaching experience at the post-secondary level or to adult students. We are particularly interested in speakers of SE Asian languages. Supervisory Instructional Systems Specialists manage and direct short-term and long-term language training programs designed to give U.S. Government foreign affairs professionals the language and culture skills needed to do their work abroad. You will recruit, train, develop and supervise Language and Culture Instructors. You will exercise your professional linguistic skills to develop and monitor language training program(s) to bring students to high levels of language proficiency. You will design new courses and/or make extensive revisions to existing training courses and become certified to administer and score official proficiency tests.
