Bixby fellowships allow citizens of developing countries to work with experienced mentors in the Council's international network of offices. Fellows work on projects in one of three program areas: Reproductive Health, HIV/AIDS, and Poverty, Gender and Youth. The term of appointment is two years, with the second year contingent upon a successful evaluation and review of performance in the first year. The fellowship is a full-time commitment, meaning no additional research, studies, or work may be pursued for the duration of the fellowship.
