Personality:

As a rule of thumb, Demi is incredibly soft spoken, very sweet, and never ever will stick up for herself. She always tries to talk only of pleasant and happy things and would rather be silent than talk about sad things that upset her. Rarely will she ever open up about a problem unless it is something simple such as she needs help getting somewhere. Mental or emotional problems are just generally bottled up as tightly as she can manage and hidden from everyone. Even if someone does manage to pin point what is bothering her, she will rarely talk about it no matter what they do, even if that means yelling or hitting her.

She’s very gentle, easy to talk to, always gives good advice, and rarely let’s her emotions get involved in anything. Logic has always been a strong point for Demi. Because of all this, people find her incredibly approachable. Most people will approach her long before she would think to approach them, but even so she is very people oriented and loves to meet new people. Everyone from the bouncy and hyper sweetheart to the flat out antisocial angry kid can end up being talked to by her, and somehow she seems to easily make them feel comfortable either way.

History/Background:

Demetria grew up in Galena, Maryland, USA where she lived a very abnormal life. She was always deathly sick, could never play with other children or run, could never swim. She was more prone to colds, could be bruised by 20lbs of pressure on any part of her skin, and couldn’t even stand up without someone holding her steady and then not even for very long.

Oh but did she love the outdoors. It didn’t matter that she couldn’t play with the other children because Demi would watch them. In fact she’d watch them for hours wishing that just once she could get her legs to walk after them, but…it never seemed possible no matter how hard she tried. The best she could do was ride in her little electric powered wheelchair around after them, as even manually pushing herself was often too much of a burden on her weak body.

Most people seemed to like her, children, adults, the elderly. It never seemed to matter who she was talking to. Children liked her because she was great with computers and any video game that only required a controller instead of physical movement. Adults liked her because she was intelligent from reading books and was mild mannered. The elderly loved her because she was talented with things like crocheting, knitting, singing, playing a number of instruments, and even drawing. For Demi, there was a whole world closed off to her so she would take in everything that wasn’t.

However, because she never complained about her pains or ills, and always tried to be as helpful as possible, most people didn’t hold it against her that she was so good at everything she could do. They often would try and help her even when she would try to do things herself and rarely said a harsh word to her. It’s just part of the lure that is Demi.
