Zoe:The impenetrable darkness

As silently as you can you enter the Felix' apartment. You had an affair with him a couple of months ago but you parted on good terms, remaining good friends.
The light from outside allows you to navigate between the furniture without falling. You hear heavy breathing sounds coming from the room. Taking the opposite direction you almost stumble upon a chair. The door to his study is closed, as discreetly as possible you push it. Inside the darkness is even thicker. You grope your way around to the desk and open the drawer where you know he keeps your keys.
Relieved you leave his study. Half way through the living room just a few feet away from the corridor, Felix' room door opens.
"My my, what do we have here? Do you know this little mouse?"
"Yes mistress, this is Zoe, your typical girl next door. She's a great fuck by the way." He turns to you. "Zoe don't run, we won't hurt you."
But you are running, running as if hell was chasing you.
You lock your door behind you.
You close the shutters to your windows.
With a strength you would have never though yourself capable of, you block the door with as many pieces of furniture you can get your hand on.
Finally drop on the sofa shaking in fear.
Felix is behind the door. He talks to you in sweet and caring voice, gently asking you to open the door, to let them enter.
After a while, he starts hitting the door, harder and harder.
At some point you fear that the barricade wont hold but eventually he seems to leave.
You're unable to sleep. You curl up on the sofa, shaking of fear and cold.
When the first rays of sun start licking your carpet you finally fall asleep.
The world is radically changed. Humanity is no longer the dominant species and hell on earth has become a reality.
