You find what's left of Nikki
From Create Your Own Story
At the end of the trail, you reach a flat patch of grass and small rocks. You can hear the water lapping against the shore, and the sound of your own breathing. You cant' hear anything else.
"Chris? Nikki?" you say, quietly, not wanting the creep to hear you. "Are you here? There's some creep -- "
You trip over something half-hidden in the grass. You kneel down and examine it.
It takes you a while to figure out what it is.
Nikki.
You're too late. She's already dead.
The creep cut her in half with some sort of enormous blade, which is why it took you so long to recognize Nikki's body.
"Shit," you say. "Oh, Nikki, I'm sorry."
Then it occurs to you. Chris might still be alive. You need to find her.
You stand up. You look around.
Where would Chris be? She's probably not still swimming, not after what happened to Nikki, unless she escaped in the pond. You didn't see her as you ran to the pond, so you can be sure she didn't go back toward the cabins. That leaves directly forward, away from the camp, deeper into the woods.
That seems like the best place to find her.
You start to run into the woods, then you stop as you hear something from behind you.
It is the sound of someone running, not caring where they are going, pushing branches aside as they run. You also hear the whack whack whack of a blade slicing through the underbrush.
You run.
