She urges you not to call the cops, and you know how slow the justice system can be so you agree. She thinks that is the end of the conversation, but you have more planned in your mind. Once she goes to sleep, you are going to go take care of Todd. Heather can see the spark in your eye and goes to the other room. She returns with some extra strength Nyquil and puts some in Carla's drink. She takes it like a shot without even knowing what it was. This girl is really strange. She is out within ten minutes. Heather promises to stay with her and wishes you good luck. You put on gloves and grab an old shovel from the closet. You take your bike instead of your car to avoid anyone seeing your license plate or anything like that and start riding to Todd and Carla's house. It is only a few miles from your place and you are there within thirty minutes. There is a light on in the living room, so you know he is home. You grab the pepper spray from your pocket and hold the shovel behind your back before knocking on the door. Todd answers it and you spray him in the face with the pepper spray. He screams out and you kick him inside, closing the door behind you. You throw him to the ground and start beating him up with your fists. He is writing in pain and you stop. You scream at him for hitting Carla and he is yelling sorry, but you know its just words to him.
You pull the shovel out and he hears the clink of the metal on the ground. You tell him you are going to kill him and freaks out. He gets up and tries to run but he is still blinded. You grab him and tie him to a chair. He is bawling, but you can't tell if the tears are from the pepper spray or not. You don't know if you have it in yourself to kill this sick douche and start to doubt yourself. Then you remember Carla's bloody face and her real tears. You take the shovel and swing it with full force at his neck. You hit the artery and he is dead. You pause for a moment at what you just did. Then realize you need to get rid of the evidence. You turn on the gas stove, take a match from your pocket and set fire to the house. As you walk away, the place gets engulfed in flames. You hurry home and clean yourself up.
Nobody ever suspects you and it gets blamed on Todd leaving the gas on. You don't feel remorse for him, but Carla is still distraught. You continue working at the company and do successful. You and Heather get married and have a son. You raise him to treat women right and he does. He marries a sweet girl from Nevada and has three kids. You die at 82 before Heather and cry on your deathbed about leaving her, but she will be okay.
