You have decided to follow the pre-fabricated path laid out for you by mainstream culture. There is nothing wrong with this, in fact it is probably the safest choice. The path includes going to a "good" college, getting a 9-5 job, and living the so-called American Dream with your wife and two children.
You apply to schools and get into a decent college. You end up selling your vintage Gameboy to pay for textbooks, and that fact doesn't even phase you at this point. Everyday that you go to class, more of your creativity and soul gets pushed out of your brain to make room for piles and piles of facts and statistics. You work like a zombie for four years and earn your degree. At graduation, you see a 12 year old boy in the crowd holding a Gameboy similar to your old one, but you have forgotten what it was like and can't register any memories associated with it. You get your degree and are on your way like nothing happened. You get two job offers soon after.
