YOU: It was my fifth mission when it happened. I was taking some well-deserved shore leave, when suddenly the town I was in came under attack... from aliens. Realizing I'd never get to take a decent vacation, I rallied the locals around my charismatic banner and recruited a quirky rag-tag team of heroes to beat back the advancing army, learning many useful skills I would need later in life.
MIRANDA makes the "BU-BUUUUH" wrong answer noise.
MIRANDA: Not quite, sorry. But close! According to this:
"You were on Akuze doing some unspecified military thing, and your entire unit was attack by Thresher Maws. Pretty stupid of you not to bring a Mako or something, I guess, or not to peg up your tents over something other than sand, but there you are. They tore apart your whole unit, but you managed to miraculously survive by being really, REALLY good at running and hiding. Some would call you a hero. You would say no- you were just doing your job."
YOU: Come on. I was THERE. Doesn't my word count for anything?
JACOB (Conspiratorially): So Commander, according to the file, you managed to snag yourself one fine piece of tail on your last mission.
YOU (startled): What? Who told you that?
MIRANDA (Laughing): Come on, Commander, Don't be coy! Who was it?
