Not wanting to alert him to the fact that your spirit is not as broken as he might want to believe, you comply with his request and seat yourself at the end of the table, directly opposite him with the entire table in-between. he's on a heightened chair looking down at you. This setup was definitely designed to intimidate people and you can't deny that it's effective.
You lower your eyes and wait while he takes the time to take you in. You resist the urge to massage your sore legs and just sit there quietly, acting submissive. After a long awkward silence, he gets up and beckons you over. You rise, suppressing a painful grimace at the feeling of your cramped legs and walk over to him with your slow little steps.
Up close, the guy is rather unimpressive. Sure, he's a head taller than you, but you're small even among other girls so.. He's trying to look imposing by straightening his shoulders, but he's doing a pretty bad job at it. In short, he looks like a guy trying to role-play as an evil demon lord and failing pretty badly at it.
You quietly suppress a chuckle without him noticing. then he dramatically takes off his cape and glares at you with a slightly reddish glint in his eyes. For the second time you barely stop yourself from laughing, this kid went pretty far to look realistic if he's even wearing contacts, on close inspection you're pretty sure he isn't any older than you are - possibly younger.
