You close your hands around the gem and concentrate... concentrate... don't think about how little air you have left... concentrate...

You open your eyes and find that you're still underwater, but you're no longer inside the well. You're floating in open space, breathing easily despite being completely submerged.

You're also not alone. Three mermaids are swimming in wide circles around you. One mermaid has jet-black hair and a black tail. One has orange hair and an orange tail, and the third one has seaweed-green hair and a green tail.

"He just appeared!" the black-tailed mermaid says.

"Like magic!" the orange-tailed mermaid says.

"He's got something in his hands!" the green-tailed mermaid says. "Show us what you have in your hands, legger!"
