Try to seize Sir Briar's assets through trickery

As the winter's snows began to melt and the birds began to sing of spring's impending arrival, Sir Briar summoned his most important retainers to his castle's meeting room, a large square room in which many banners were hung against the stone walls. Oscar, being a faithful knight of Sir Briar, had been resquested there, along with the two other knights under his lord's command, Anton and Ulrich, the two men he had been squires with. Anton was still as loud-mouthed as ever, nearly unable to hold his tongue when he had something to say, while Ulrich was a silent, but devoted man, almost as good a swordsman as Oscar. The two had always been fierce rivals.
And then they all waited in front of their lord's meeting room as Sir Briar met every person responsible of something in his castle, from the head cook to the marshall of his estate. There were rumors of Sir Briar having to leave the estate for a while, and that he wished to make sure everyone knew what they had to do before he left.
Eventually, the door opened, and the head cook came out, apparently disgruntled. Before the three knights could even wonder what had happened, they heard their lord's voice call out for one of them.
"Oscar, please, enter, and close the door behind you."
