You try to roll out of the way, but your body doesn't obey your brain's command.

Marie's hand flashes downwards, but stops a millimeter short of your neck. "I can't kill you like this," she says. "I'll put you to sleep first, so you don't feel any pain." She wraps her arm around your neck and squeezes firmly, knocking you unconscious.

You don't feel her snap your neck like a twig a moment later.
