Tell Angela you'll protect them both from now on

"Don't worry about a thing," you murmur to Angela. "You two beauties are under my wing now."
"I..." Angela starts. Her voice trails off.
"I'm ready to take down anybody who tries to mess with you," you mock-growl. You pull Angela and Kerri close against you. "My sweeties. You're both wonderful and I'm going to keep you safe."
Kerri blushes. Angela looks troubled. Regaining her composure, she pushes away from you. "No. I already have a protector."
You look at her. "Who's protecting you?" you wonder.
"Meet me after school," Angela replies. "I'll show you."
Once the final bell rings, Angela leads you and Kerri to an uncertain location. The three of you remain on the sidewalk for the entire journey. Eventually you arrive at your destination- a church.
The two girls head for the entrance, but you're reluctant to follow them. When Angela realizes you're not entering the church, she turns to face you.
"What's the matter... done looking after us?" she asks. You sense a mocking tone to her voice.
