Take the boat north

You take the boat north, following the shoreline. Every few days, you put ashore to forage for supplies and see if there's any place free from zombies. But everything is zombie-infested. You're glad you have the safety of the boat.

Eventually, however, you run out of fuel and are forced to beach the boat. As best as you can tell, you are on a lonely stretch of shore somewhere in Oregon. Winter is coming, the sky is dark and gray, and a cold wind is blowing from the north. But at least there are very few zombies in a place as isolated as this.

You and Annabelle look at each other and nod. It will be tough surviving out here. But at least your odds are better than in a zombie-infested city, and at least you're outside in the free air instead of trapped in a fortress.

You sling your rifle over your shoulder and pat the pistol on your hip. It's going to be a rough ride, but you believe you can make it.
