Strangulate him

You pull out your strangulation chord and tighten it as you creep up behind him. As Anthony looks at the body in the chair more closely, you pull the chord across his throat and choke him. He thrashes his limbs around, but soon collapses on the ground.
You pull off his clothing and put it on yourself. It’s a bit baggy, but it’ll work. You open the door and look around the hall. Nobody is there. You climb up the ladder and walk up the stairs, but at the top of the stairs is a guard who stops you.
“What are you doing here?” asks the guard.
“I was looking for the bathroom.”
“No, that’s the basement,” he says. “Go into the study and the bathroom will be to your right.”
You thank him and go into the study. You spot your suit on the crate. You had almost forgotten it! Grabbing the suit, you enter the bathroom and wash your face and dress into your suit.
As you walk into the entrance hall, somebody taps on your shoulder. Your heart begins to beat loudly. I was almost out of here, you think. I can’t get caught now. “Hey buddy, nice seeing you here?” says the person.
You turn around and see Harvey behind you. “Harvey,” you say. “What are you doing here?”
He hushes you. “Stay cool,” he says.
The two of you walk through the front doors and down the path to the road. There, Harvey says in a half-whisper, “I was sent here to watch you. Rescue you if your got caught or if you were going to get arrested. It looks like you did a good job here.”
You smile at him and nod. “Let’s get out of here.”
As you and Harvey go back to your cars, you see a man stumbling down the sidewalk. He looks like the guy who you sedated to get the invitation. As you walk past him, you drop the invitation on the ground, then call out to him, “Hey, I think you dropped something.”
He turns around and sees the invitation. He mutters, “Thank you,” as he picks up the invitation. You go back into your car and leave the area, brimming with happiness for completing your assignment well.
Two days later, you drive to that abandoned warehouse where you first meet your boss. You park your car and enter the corridor the same way as before. You grab the key from the lightbulb and open the door, but no body is in there. The room almost completely bare. All you see is a briefcase sitting on a collapsible table. You cautiously open the briefcase, expecting a mine of some sort, but inside was something very different. Your hear leaps out of your chest as you see stacks among stacks of cash sitting in the briefcase, along with a single sheet of paper. You pick it up and read it.
Congratulations on completing your first mission alone. As you may already know, an agent was sent in there to watch over you, but ordered not to intervene. We wanted to see how well you did without any assistance. I’m proud to say that you have passed our test and are now a trusted agent of our organization.
