You're glad to be on your new assignment to the Enterprise, and that your good friend Xon, a Vulcan, is joining you on this assignment. Xon has been assigned to work with you on whatever Captain Picard assign you to do. You knew your mission was secretive, and you didn't get much detail about it.
It's stardate 48001.82. You haven't had much sleep and you're anxious on finding out what this mission is all about. As soon as you beam up to the Enterprise, you are instructed to meet Captain Picard in his ready room. You sense a great deal of importance and fear at the same time.
Captain Picard greets you warmly, and immediately instructs you on the purpose of the mission. Picard had instructed Starfleet command that he needed the best for this mission, and that's what he got. Xon, a brilliant Vulcan with an aptitude towards everything, but with a unique ability to be diplomatic and convincing. And you, a Betazoid with all the skills for an effective intelligence officer. Captain Picard tell you that Data will be working directly with you and Xon. He says that there's a problem on the ship. Somehow, a bunch of the Starfleet personnel are planning to sabotage the Enterprise and work on taking it over, and using it as a base for rogue operations. Picard wants you to be discreet on this mission, but wants you to do whatever is necessary to find out which group of people are coordinating these sabotage operations and take them out.
You sense that the reason you and your good friend Xon have been assigned here on the Enterprise is because Picard can't trust any crewmembers at all.
