Entranced by the tranquil, patterned sounds of the trickling fount, you go and sit by the edge, looking down into the turquoise water. The prince, whose fingers are still intertwined with yours, follows suit, taking a seat beside you.
"How beautiful," you coo, trailing your fingertips over the cool surface.
"Very much so," the prince responds, but his eyes are not fixated on the rippling waters, like yours are. Instead, he's looking straight at you with a very charming smile.
