Run away screaming like a little girl?

You run away, screaming like a little girl. You find yourself in a side alley. It smells something like your sweat socks used to in high school when you would wear them for 30 days without letting your Mom wash them because that would have been bad luck.
The alley is dimly lit. You can see a dumpster at the end of the dead end alley. There are scattered pieces of paper lying around here and there. There is a side door leading into the club. There is no handle or doorknob on the door so it is impossible to open from the outside. A sign on the door says 'PERMANENT EXIT ONLY'.
Do you:
- Knock on the door?
- Search through the pieces of paper lying here and there?
- Walk down to the dumpster?
- Go back to the main street in front of the club
