Remain in the basement

Underneath the only visible light source, the three of you remain in the basement, waiting for a response. You and Kerri would like to leave (for different reasons), but you're not going to abandon Angela. Still, it doesn't appear anyone else is nearby. At least that's what you believe- until you hear a female voice speaking.
"You shouldn't be here."
Turning around, you discover the owner of the voice: a willowy blonde woman stepping forth from the darkness. Her arrival makes Kerri step back... and even you start to feel uneasy in her presence, but Angela immediately stands up to face her.
"Where is he?" she demands.
The woman looks at the girl without a hint of emotion. "I do not know what you're talking about," she replies. "You and friends need to leave before-"
She stops speaking midsentence as her gaze meets with Angela's. For at least a minute, the two stare at each other without saying a word.
"I don't believe this," the woman mutters. "You're not... you can't be..."
Before the woman can finish, a loud noise suddenly draws everyone's attention to the upper levels of the church. It sounded like a gunshot.
"Shit!" the woman exclaims. "Follow me- I'll get you all out of here!"
She runs back into the darkness, with only Angela taking her advice. You look at where the woman disappeared to, and then at the staircase. Kerri remains by your side, uncertain of which path to take.
