"Pila, wait outside on the scaffolding." Sami says, and Pila complies instantly.
"I'm getting at least fifteen in this apartment's area. Could be more, though." She says softly into the mic. You take out your own gun and begin to sift through the cabinets and the fridge to look for one. It is not long before you see one under the sink, where honestly you did not expect. You end up sitting back and flailing the gun forward to shoot, missing entirely. The slimeroach begins to slosh across the floor away from you, but there is another shot. There is a short fizz, and the slimeroach is sucked into the pellet.
"One." Sami says, and glares at you. You feel useless, and slowly stand up. You see two more in the bedroom, but before you can even react, she has turned and shot them as well.
"Just start clearing the pipes." Sami says, clearly impatient. You nod and begin to drop pellets into the sink in case any are hiding inside.
As you continue to check the area, Sami goes on firing more in the bedroom and the bathroom, until Pila instructs her to double check the wall.
"Rat! Get in here!"
You make your way in and see the vent she is pointing out. You pull the screw driver out, opened it up, and she fires twice blindly into the vent. It looks to go upward a good ways.
"Anything?" She asks.
"Still there." Pila says.
Sami groans and removes her plastic chest protector. She tosses it aside and wiggles her gun arm and her upper body into the hole. "Pull me out by my legs if I say so." You hear her say, muffled.
"Alright!" You put your hands on her legs, ready, wondering how she will fire in complete blindness. "Are you alright?"
"Of course." She says, this time softer. "Pila? Any indication? Right or left?"
Pila's voice also sounds unsure. You look back to her and see she is looking to you in a timid shrug. "I, uh,"
You take this chance and speak. "right" or "left!"
