"We're all going to die if none of us eat. But if one of us is sacrificed, maybe two of us can make it," you say.
"What are you trying to say?" asks Dodge.
"I'm saying that two of us living is better than none. And Landon is looking weak. He doesn't have long anyway."
"You're talking about killing our friend!" Dodge coughs.
"He's talking about survival," wheezes Landon. "Just make it quick."
You kill Landon, and he provides food for you for another few days, but soon, it is all gone. You succumb to hunger once more.
