"But... But..." Katie muttered to herself.
"But what? Please do try to talk in complete sentences Kate dear." Aunt Jill said condisendingly before turning to her soon to be husband. "Honestly she's a nightmare sometimes, you'd never know that she spent years in education"
The fact that her Aunt was talking about her like she wasn't there made her even more annoyed, annoyed enough to disregard her fear of speaking out. "But this basically makes me a slave! A dog has more rights! It's not fair!" she wined.
"Oh dear," Jill sighed, "throwing a tantrum again. She can be such a baby sometimes. At times like this you have to show her her place and how lucky she is."
"Perhaps," Samantha said smiling cruelly, "if she is acting like a baby then we should treat her as one."
