You and Mario and on a plane trip to Europe, but you're taking the long way over the Pacific. You need to stop in China and it takes a while so you end up getting of the plane, but Mario stays on.
You go to The Taco Bell inside the airport and while you eat, the plane is refueled. The plane is all set to take off. All that's left to do is call all the passengers back. Until a couple of terrorists hijack the plane and take off with Mario inside it.
The terrorists crash the plane into the White House the next day and Mario dies with it. And you are alone in China with no way home.
You have no money and need to get some.
