"Ah, the Merpeople...no, Link, they aren't just like the Zora. While Zora are a humanoid fish species, merpeople are half person and half fish, usually the top half being the human part. They've been spotted by the Zora in some waterways, and seem friendly, even talking to the Zora in the water. I don't expect much of a challenge here, aside from finding where they reside. I would suggest going to the Zora Domain, they may be able to point you in the right direction. On the other hand, they are probably other scholars in Hyrule who know a lot about old lore or just old texts that could be of use to you if you knew where to look. It's your choice."
