You spy a group of Svinns sitting outside a low hut, and you walk over and sit yourself down. They are discussing a friend, apparently killed in the night by an assassin's curved blade.
"Is that why you are all afraid?" you ask.
"We afraid of no thing!" retorts one of the Svinn, furiously. "But no. Much worse."
Another Svinn bangs his hand down on the table. "But with Esh dead, who save Tia?"
"Who was Esh?" you ask.
"Our greatest." The Svinn who says this bangs his chest with a fist, and then coughs twice. "Good Svinn."
"Tia is chief's daughter," the other Svinn says. "Our flower." He wipes a tear from the corner of his eye, scratching himself painfully with an uncut fingernail. "Esh was to save her. Now Esh not alive. So Tia, soon, not alive."
