You can't do it. You eye your mom's enticing waistline again and sigh. It's just the flood of hormones and the stupidity of youth that makes you consider something so immoral. You still want to chat with her anyways and catch up some more.

“So, how's it going Mom?” You ask.

“It's going pretty well.” Your mother glances back with a smile.

The two of you begin talking about everything you could think of. Your mom's cheerful attitude is refreshing and fills you with nostalgia. She finishes the dishes and takes a seat across from you and rests her chin on her hand while talking to you, her vibrant, green eyes and smile-ready lips dance as you speak to her. She surprises you with some information.

“You know the Johnson's next door? This is just between us, but Sheila has been telling me that she thinks her husband is cheating on her. Well, I think her husband loves her very much and that she's completely overreacting. But you know how some women get some time... they just won't listen to any reason once their convinced.”
