Well, inventory is all the things you'll come across as a portable, usable object.

I.a word-a key inventory object used for reading or as something you'll use to progress the story. W.a word-Something used for damaging, either scenery or enemies, they come in two forms, a firearm, which isn't short range but needs ammo, and a melee weapon, which is short range but can be used infinite times

An exception is the stun gun which is short range and uses ammo, it is classified as a firearm.
