Insist that Jessica keep the secret secret

"Please. Just keep it to yourself for now. Do it for me, please," you say.
"All right, Katarina. For now." Jessica goes back to her breakfast, but she eats much more eagerly now, and there's a light of hope in her eyes for the first time since you've met her. She finishes her food quickly, excuses herself, and heads out.
After finishing your own breakfast, you head back to the lab to continue your work. You feel better knowing that the secret weapon is on the right track. However, the good feeling is short-lived.
That night, a large, heavily armed patrol of vampires, drawn by the disappearance of the squadron you took out earlier and investigating the mysterious sunlight that temporarily broke through their black cloud, approach the area. Searching everything carefully, they discover the secret trapdoor and storm into the base, taking the outer guards by surprise and brutally slaughtering them all. They then push further in, killing as they go.
You rush to the battle. Using the power of your holy symbol, you are able to make a few vampires freeze in fear enough for you to take them out with your shotgun or your sword. Racing towards the sounds of more fighting, you step over many dead bodies in the halls, a few vampires, but mostly humans. The battle is not going well for your side.
Rounding a corner, you see Jessica wielding a sword in her right hand and a silver cross in her left. Several decapitated vampires and their severed heads lie near her. A towering, ancient-looking vampire approaches her. She waves her cross at it, but the creature simply laughs. "I am much to ancient and powerful to be affected by tha..."
The vampire's speech is abruptly ended as you fire your shotgun, blowing its head to bits. You rush over to Jessica. "Are you okay?"
"Yes. Thanks for the assist." She wipes a strand of auburn hair out of her face, then loads a nearby rifle and slings it over her shoulder. "Major Perlman and the other officers are dead. I'm in command now. We have about a dozen soldiers left, and I don't know how many civilians. I told my soldiers about the secret weapon when the attack started. It at least gave them enough strength that we didn't all get slaughtered."
You look down at your boots. "I should have let you tell them earlier," you say guiltily.
"Spilled milk under the bridge, Katarina. Now we just have to focus on staying alive."
A soldier rushes up. "Lieutenant, it appears the vampires are preparing to pump poison gas into the facility!" he shouts.
Jessica swallows hard before quickly hiding her expression. "All right, all soldiers, follow me! We're going on the attack. Katarina, go out one of the back entrances with the other civilians. Let's move!"
You watch as the soldiers quickly hurry off down the tunnel.
