In the weeks before returning to Hogwarts, Harry pretty much isolated himself from the world in Grimmauld Place. He didn't go out much, only for small shopping. Ron and Hermione would come once in a while and despite their questioning, he wouldn't talk much. He was also getting more and more distant with Ginny. He would not go to the Burrow anymore and when she visited him, they barely talked. He could see her concern but she was respecting that and told herself that he would talk when he would be ready. She knew that it wasn't her, just something he had on his mind. Apparently, being the "Chosen One" did not end with You-Know-Who's death.
Harry knew he was hurting his friends and girlfriend by isolating himself, but it was the best way to protect them from himself, at least as long as he didn't know how what happened to him. But he didn't know if this was doing him more harm than anything else. It made him feel more lonely than before and dark thoughts occured to him more often than before. He was wondering if he was not falling into some kind of depression.
