Since you're probably not sleeping anytime soon, you leave your pillow lying against the wall. Opening the east door, you walk through waving the beam of your flashlight back and forth. April follows close behind.
You step into a wide room lined with bookshelves. The only furniture is two armchairs near the one corner and a small table between them. On the far wall, the shelves are parted by a fireplace, and there's a door in the north wall, but otherwise the entire room is surrounded. There's not even a window. You look back to the bookshelves and see they're packed with old hardcovers. They're in fantastic condition, though. Some of the leather ones still gleam a bit as your flashlight passes over them.
April seems to forget her fear for a moment and walks over to examine the nearest shelf.
"This is cool," she says. "Look at all of these. Treasure Island! I love that book!"
