HC/Carry on cutting

You concentrate on cutting Evelyn's hair. Anything to take your mind off the odd sense of arousal you're experiencing. You concentrate so hard that you don't even realise she's asleep till she starts breathing heavily. You stop. She's nodded of right there in the chair. What do you do now? You put a hand on her shoulder and shake lightly. Nothing.
'She won't wake up.'
You turn around and see Rachel playing with her phone. 'When she's like that you could slap her in the face and she still wouldn't notice it.'
'So what should I do? Just carry on?'
'Go ahead,' Rachel says simply. 'Go crazy. I'm off.'
'Wait a minute. What do you mean you're off? What about your mother?'
'Step mother,' Rachel corrects you, standing and putting her phone away. 'Trust me, she was up all night yesterday packing for our holiday. It'll be hours till she wakes up. I'll be back before then.'
'If she asks me where you are I'll tell her.'
Rachel shoots you a look. 'Thank you. I thought I could trust you.'
With that she's gone, leaving you alone with Evelyn fast asleep in one chair and Charlotte asleep in the other.
