Focus on killing enough fish to clear out your cave

Using your rock to slash and tear at the fish, it doesn't take long for most of the fish to flee, and the rest to focus on instead eating the ones you have killed.
This in turn means you can turn your focus towards preventing anyone from re-entering your cave, and in minutes, the last of the fish have disappeared, taking choice morsels of the dead fish with them.
Now the only fish that are still around are the dozen or so smaller ones that dart in and out of your belly. And most of them have already eaten all the eggs they can. They are no threat to you or your young and so you let them nestle inside you.
Your cave is quiet once more, and you worriedly check your mucus plugs. They seems to hold. You can even extract half the plug in your mouth to glue together the larger hole in your belly, since you feel confident you can simply keep your mouth shut if any fish tried to get at the eggs that way. The smaller hole you don't worry about, since only a few dozen eggs a day trickle out that way, and the small fish only eat another dozen per day.
The days pass by, you easily fending off any intruders safe within your cave. You break off a small bit of growth to count the days. You watch your new fish friends play hide-and-seek by darting around the cavern and in and out of your belly.
It doesn't take long before you can start to feel your belly wriggling.
