Downfall/Go after Kirsten

It is more important to run rings around Kirsten. The woman will go through a few inconveniences, but serious more will happen to her. You follow Kirsten out of the shop where she meets with Debra. Debra's eyes grow wide when she notices you. Her reaction makes Kirsten turn around.
"Aw, man," she says. "Did you see me buy it? It was supposed to be a surprise."
"Wait - what?" Her reaction got you off-guard.
"Debbie had the idea to get identical travel souvenirs. Nothing fancy, just something to remember this trip by. But it was supposed to be a surprise, mom. Why did you follow me?"
"Seriously, mom," Debra says. "Now we have to think of something else." And to Kirsten. "Give me the receipt, I'll see if we can return them."
Kirsten gives Debra three identical bracelets (orange, of course), and the receipt. You apologize to your daughters and leave them be. Looks like you misinterpreted Kirsten's intentions, and you feel guilty about it.
