You sprint into your bedroom, preying the looter had not yet discovered the revolver you keep in the cupboard of your bedside table. Finding it still where you left it you grab it and hurry back to take care of the looter, and bump right into him. You point your gun straight at his face and hold it there, staring at him, not moving. Then...
Click. You pull the trigger, realize the gun is not loaded. The looter just turns and sprints out your front door, not even taking his bag with him. Your shoulders sag, heavy with all that has happened and what you almost did. After a minute you shake yourself and begin packing all the food from your kitchen you can scrounge into a backpack, and throw containers of water and your bat into the looters bag.
Exiting your apartment with revolver fully loaded and in hand, you find a man fumbling with a coat hanger trying to get the door of your car open.
