You've always wanted to be a hero! You shrug off the backpack, grab a fallen branch, and race toward the spiderweb, determined to kill the spider before it kills... whatever that tinkling thing is!

From Create Your Own Story

Without a moment of hesitation or thought, you drop your backpack, grab a large branch, and run toward the spiderweb. You sweep the branch downward onto the spider, which easily leaps onto the branch. To your horror, you see the spider double, then triple in size as it scuttles up the branch. You drop the branch but it is too late - the monstrous spider is already on your hand, your wrist, your arm. Pain drives into your arm as the spider bites you. A black wave of agony washes over you and you stumble backward, swaying. The world is suddenly blurry. Then, as if at a great distance, you hear the tinkling of the light you saw in the web. "You can still save me! You must kill the spider! Please!"

You remember the pocketknife in your backpack, many paces behind you. But you aren't sure you can even kill the spider, which has shrunken back to its former size and is moving back toward its web - it may very well bite you again and kill you this time. And anyway, it would waste time - you could as easily make a run for the house, and call 911.

You feel your arm begin to throb and swell. You look at the wound, which is turning an ugly purple before your eyes.

What do you do?
