Darren pours another shot and hands it to me, his movements are quick and fluid.
He seems restless. Earlier, he was icy and arrogant, now he's simply irritated.
"So you saw the commotion?"
"You bet I did."
Darren pours himself another drink.
"The guy was asking his daughter to quit. What's the deal with this place?"
Darren sighs and leans against his desk.
"I've fallen victim to many rumors, but we're not here to talk about that. We're here to talk about your problem and how I can help you with that."
He stares at me, studying me from head to toe. His gaze makes me feel exposed and vulnerable but at least he's not smirking this time.
He's insanely handsome, and he obviously finds me attractive... I should seize this opportunity to get on his good side. It won't take much to show him I'm interested... Darren might be vulnerable to my charms right now. And he does look kind of dreamy...
