"Great," he smiles, "Stop by any time. And remember, we're even right now... but should you try to create any problems, I will take my surveillance videos showing the break and enter to the police."

You pause, flustered. He might be bluffing, but this doesn't stop you worrying that what you have just done has been recorded.

He interprets the panic on your face, "Don't worry, there's no cameras in here. Downstairs, though, that is another matter. Have a great day." With this, he pushes you out of the bedroom, and leaves you to see yourself out.

• Try to find a camera, you are not sure you believe him.
