WAS: Finish the strikes with a kick to the liver

The kick was suppose to be an killing blow. His liver had already been smashed by the punch so a kick would send him tumbling to the ground and you would be victorious. However Acrom had brought his hands down to his waist prepared for another strike to his liver. He catches the kick which is meet by a loud gasp from the audience. Just like you they thought that the kick would end the fight. Acrom smiles and throws a kick of his own that connects with your ribcage and sends you stumbeling backwards.
Wanting to take advantage of his weakend state you charge him like a wild lunatic hoping that one of your many strikes would knock him out. But your strikes do not connect, your kicks are blocked and your knees are ineffective. You seem to have underestimated Acrom’s ability to stay cool after being wounded. Despite putting on an impressive striking show you achieve little damage. You are stopped in your track with a jab from Acrom and now is forced to be on the defensive.
You keep your guard high as Acrom hits you with an quick, weak shot, then another feeble but quick punch designed to keep you on the defensive. What is he planning?
