WAS: Climb a tree to get a better look of the area

You look around for an appropriate tree. An old and tall spruce looks like a good candidate. Spruces are uncommon in this swamp but they do generally grow taller than the other threes.
You leave your horse behind and begin climbing. The mushy branches make the climb easy. Small insects who inhabit the tree flee your oncoming. Without any real toil you reach the top. From her you can see freely from all angles. In the distance you can vaguely make out something that you think is the seven mountains. At least now you know where home is. Not far from here you see something that truly makes you nervous. It is partly covered by branches and trees, yet you can see it well enough to realize that it looks like a giant bee hive. Its giant brown walls look like mould. Whatever despicable creature that lives there must not venture outside this swamp much, or else you would have known about its existence.
Then your eyes focus on an more pleasant site. A big pound containing life bringing water is not far away. Its water appear murky which is not surprising being that you are in a swamp. Still it might be worth checking out.
