You race back to the door, to find it has swung shut and locked!

The door is stout and sturdy. You bring to bear every ounce of strength in your body to get it open. Charging from as much of a run-up as the collapsing corridor will allow, you strike the wood – which is soft, and damp, and half-rotten – with a resounding thump.

More dust and debris trickles from the ceiling. You have left your mark. But the door is not broken yet.
