The maid rushes into the room bleary-eyed and with her clothes in disarray.
"Yes, maam?"
"Maam? Where are your manners?"
"Oh, I'm sorry, your Highness. I was... with someone, and it... kind got out of hand..." She lowers her eye and blushes. And indeed you can see something running down her legs where her ill-fitted dress doesn't cover her knees.
"I was raped in my sleep. There were two of them. I think I heard a door opening."
"But there are only two doors here. One out to my maid's chamber, and I can assure you nobody was going through there. And the other door leads to the bath chamber. I can check it for you if you wish, my Lady?"
"Please do."
The maid disappears for a few minutes, but comes back shaking her head. "I am so sorry, my Lady, but there is nobody here."
