Alison, despite the cuffs still on her hands and the pain in her legs, began scrabbling around in the dark trying desperately to find a door. Before she could do so, footsteps rapidly approached.
Alison tried her best to remain quiet, pushing herself up against a corner of the room and slouched to a fetal position. A door at the top of a staircase slammed open causing the beautiful blonde girl to shriek with fear.
A dull, humorless chuckle echoed throughout the room as the Alison's captor methodically closed and locked the door leaving little hope for escape.
Then all was silent as if the whole ordeal was just a bad dream. A bad dream she couldn't wake up from. A bad dream where pain felt so real she could cry. A bad dream where she found herself feeling dizzy from lack of breathing. Alison knew better though, this was no bad dream, this was a living, breathing nightmare. Alison wanted to scream to break the silence, which seemed to last forever.
Alison began to think maybe the lunatic wasn't even in the basement with her. Perhaps... but unfortunately for her she was wrong, dead wrong. As if knowing exactly where she was hidden a blinding flash of light pierces the darkness, temporarily blinding her.
