You walk over to the blonde and sit down next to her.
"Hello," she says. "Did you... want something?"
You grin. "An introduction. I'm Joe."
She shakes your hand. "Katie."
You signal the bardenter and order a soft drink for yourself. "Coming up," the bartender says, and a few seconds later, your Coke appears. You pay the man for the drink.
Katie giggles. "You're not going to offer me a drink?"
You smile at her. "Way too cheesy a line. If you can't afford to buy one drink for yourself, I'm not interested in you. I don't date destitute women."
Katie smiles back and hands you her business card. She's the owner of a company who has put money in your institution. "So, if you're not going to buy me a drink, how do you plan on getting me into bed?"
You chuckle. "If you like me, I won't have to do anything to convince you." You hand her your own business card, and she nods in recognition as she reads it.
Katie takes your hand and rises from her chair. "May as well. If it doesn't work out, then after tomorrow morning we'll just look for other partners. Shall we go to your dwelling or mine?"
