Tell the boy to wait while you go inside and buy a room

You tell the boy to wait outside for you as you go around front to the motel entrance and walk inside. An older man is sitting behind the desk reading a dirty magazine, and looks up at you as you walk in.
"Well, you're a sweet little thing, aren't you? What brings you to this place? On a road trip and mom and dad send you in to ask if there's any rooms?" He smiles at you.
"No Sir." You say. "I'm not with my mom or dad or anything. I just need to get a room for a little while."
"All alone? With no parents or anything?" He pauses and looks you up and down slowly. "Well, nothing says you can't get a room, but it might be a little expensive for a young thing like you to be buying..."
