The path to the parks winds downhill through grove of tall trees. You can see most of the park stretched out below you, but no one can see you, yet.
In the center of the park, the lake glistens like gold in the sunlight. People of all ages sit on benches reading, typing on laptops or even sleeping. Some are feeding the ducks and swans, and some are cooling their feet in the waters.
The path you are on joins up with a meandering jogging track which loops around the lake and continues into the distance. The various joggers, roller-skaters and cyclists are most likely drenched with sweat as the sun is really beating down.
There are several secluded picnic spots, each surrounded by vegetation so their occupants can enjoy relative privacy, except from your high vantage point. You spot several families, some kind of group outing, and some college-aged youths enjoying an impromptu barbecue around a campfire.
