You search her rags quickly: no coins, and no food. But you do find one thing of interest – a page, presumably torn from a spellbook, containing half of the instructions for a spell ("..IT"): something to do with revitalisation, but it is unworkable in its current state.. You wipe your hands clean on the grass.
You must move on soon. Greedy flies are gathering around the old woman's corpse, and the light is fading already.
