Without giving it a second thought, you dash around your bed and to your door. You throw it open and head down the hall, using your flashlight to guide your way. Once you approach her door, you hear her scream again.

Throwing the door open quickly, you feel a gust of cold air and hear the loud pounding of rain outside. Mel's window has been smashed in and two strange men are in her room, attempting to pin her to the bed. You feel your heart pound in your chest, step into the room, and notice too late that there's someone right behind the door.

You're hit over the back of the head and knocked unconscious. You don't see what happens to Melanie, and it's probably better that way. You don't get to experience the pain of the three strangers doing you in with sharp kitchen knives either, and that's also probably better. You die, Melanie dies, and your corpses rot right there in her bedroom.
